The Henry's Fork of the Snake River begins at Henry's Lake and is known as one of the best fly-fishing rivers in the world. In fact, the members of Trout Unlimited has voted it the number one stream in America! Not only does it provide great trout fishing, it is an extremely scenic river, making fishing enjoyable whether you come away with a catch or not!

Coffee Pot Campground is a good starting place for wading. Above the rapids the fishing is serene and scenic. See photo at left.

Box canyon below the Island Park Reservoir is famous for its huge rainbows and for its Salmonfly hatch.

Harriman State Park encloses a beautiful 7 mile stretch of the river which is not to be missed. (Entrance fee required)

You need an Idaho License to fish the reservoir.
