Red Rock Creek Fishing - Montana

Red Rock Creek MT

Back to Fishing Map

Red Rock Creek flows from Mount Jefferson on the Continental Divide and is actually the true furthest headwaters of the mighty Missouri River. Never a large stream, it is a great place for the fly fisherman to catch some fish in extremely quiet and beautiful surroundings. It is home to some very large Yellowstone Cutthroat (up to 10 pounds) and the unique sport fish - Arctic Grayling. Red Rock Creek supports one of the last native strains of Arctic Grayling in the lower 48 states (CATCH AND RELEASE FOR Grayling and cutthroat trout ).

Keep your eyes open for female Moose and calves while fishing this remote location. You can't get much more remote than this with access from maintained dirt road.
