We have been coming to the West Yellowstone/Island Park area for over 15+ years. This is now our home away from home in the summer. We are one of the long term RV’ers, and stay from the end of May to the end of September. The prices are the best in the area. The park is one mile from Henry’s lake, and fourteen miles from West Yellowstone. We can ride out of the park on our mountain bikes, for a beautiful ride along the lake, or drive down to the boat ramp, and launch our kayaks, for a relaxing paddle. The park is beautiful, with green lawns, and large shade trees in every site. And for the RV’er with dogs, there is a 5-acre dog park. The staff is beyond friendly they have become life-long friends. The park has monthly potlucks, with amazing food from all of the RV’ers, and a weekly game of Bunco under the umbrellas on the wood patio behind the store. And every day at 4:00, you can find us having happy hour; just bring your drink, and maybe an h’orderves, and swap fishing tales, and share pictures from you day in this beautiful summer hideaway.

Coming to RedRock is like finding a little piece of Heaven. Surrounded by natural beauty and the sound of QUIET is second only to the freshness of the air and the beauty that awaits on the crest of every hill. Don't miss a visit to Henry's Lake, it's a great walk or bike ride to a spectacular view. Thank you for your hospitality, there are no limits to friendly faces here.

Dear Gordon & Karen: We want to thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We so enjoyed our stay in your RV Park where quiet is the byword. Peaceful could also be used because in all our travels for over a month around the US, your RV Park is so peaceful, new found neighbors as well as all your staff, were great, and helpful! We arrived early one evening in a slight rain and in the morning the sunlight revealed that it snowed overnight on the nearby mountain tops, but by evening of our first day in the park the snow was mostly gone, was it magic no, was it peaceful yes, also astonishing & extraordinary at the same time! What a wonderful location you have to relax in and explore from. Thanks for all your help, Love, Kevin & Madge Oates

We just spent the month of June 2012 at this fantastic park. The owners, the hosts and the people staying at the park are the best bunch of folks that you would ever want to meet!!! The park is so nice, safe, peaceful and quiet. We had such a relaxing time here and the views are just breath taking. The pot luck dinners and the get together's on the patio were a blast. Thanks guys for making us feel at home and like family. We will never forget our FIRST but not last trip to this wonderful park. See you next year!!! Chip and Bunky

Today we went back to Red Rock RV park for a fourth of July celebration. We had such a good time! We just cant say enough good about the people we met while we were there for a month. They always make us feel welcome and like family. We had a fantastic pot luck diner with everything from great tasting food to delicious deserts. We played blongo ball, LCR and they even had a parade. Even the pets were dressed for the holiday. We would just like to thank all of them for making our stay so enjoyable.

to all those people that think YOUR KIDS are sooo wonderful and that everyone wants to spend their quiet vacation time listening to them, you should have read the previous post about NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!!! THAT IS WHY I'VE CHOSEN TO GO TO THIS PLACE,a friend has a cabin up the road and said we will love the area with lots to see and do....I also dont think any of you have visited any old folks homes or you would know they have lots to do and can be noisy at times....THE HOSTS HAVE BEEN VERY KIND AND HELPFUL ON THE PHONE WITH EVERY CALL I'VE MADE TO THEM,STILL LOOKING VERY FORWARD TO GOING TO RED ROCK....also the prices are great for the area

You will love this RV park if you love old folks homes. NOT KID FRIENDLY... After numerous "pep talks" I was ready to just pack up and leave. Hosts are way to involved, you feel like your being babysat the entire time. They love to mow lawns at the butt crack of dawn and wake you up. Everyone at the old folks home is bedded down by 9:30 but you can hear every word of their television show from the next site. I will not stay here again. Disappointing that I spent that much money and my summer vacation feeling like I had to walk on egg shells.

Karen & Gorden - Janis and I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know what a wonderful time we had last summer staying at your park. This was our first major adventure in our RV - we traveled from the Nashville area of Tennessee. We love your location - it is perfect to visit Yellowstone as well as Jackson Hole & the Grand Tetons. Thank you for keeping your park so clean and trouble free. You guys are gratious hosts and we always felt welcome. Hope to see you again soon. Thanks.

Gordon & Karen, Let me first say that of all of the RV Parks that Terry and I have stayed at around the country that Red Rocks has and remains our favorite. It offers a great location, great scenery, a relaxed environment and a friendliness and quietness not found at most parks. The month we spent there in September 2008 along with the several other weekends hold lots of great memories for us. Thanks for everything, Bill & Terry Wallace Tyler, TX - formerly from Silver Bow, Montana

Gordon, Karen, Dan, Susie, Johnny Rocket, and Georgianna: Thank you all for our wonderful 6-week stay at RedRock RV Park. The open spaces, meadows, mountains, and mild weather were absolutely wonderful, but you all made our stay the best of any RV park we've ever visited. We will miss the friendly faces, smiles, Gordon checking on his watering, and the great deck happy hours. We look forward to another visit. Have a great fall and winter. P.S. Your webpage is also the best ever. Thanks, Newt and Donna.

Karen, I have returned from Red Rock after a 3 day stay that was fantastic. I returned to the Wasatch front tonight to find there was a "red alert" for polution levels (smog), high southernly winds with the sky filled with sand from the west desert, pollen counts were off the charts, the temperature was 96 degrees, etc. etc., I can't remember why you preferred to live in the Island Park area. What a stark contrast between heaven and hell!!! Thanks for talking me into trying your RV Park for those three days!!!!

We went on a 7 state vacation and just got home. Your place was hands-down the best campground/RV park we stayed in. Most of the places we stayed that were RV parks treated us poorly because we 'only' had a pop-up camper and not a large RV. Not your place. We were treated so nice, your facilities are very clean, and your staff is so friendly. Thank you! We were sad to leave and can't wait to come back again. Keep up the good work. Robin

We (in a 37' MH with toad) and our traveling buddies in a 31' trailer had one of RedRock RV's Super sites. Suffice to say, its the largest side by side site 'Ive ever been in. The atmosphere and general feeling of family within this RV Park makes it so wonderful. We spent a week here last was a pleasure to come "home" to peace and quiet after a long day of visiting Yellowstone National Park. Thanks everyone!

Thank you Gordon and Karen, Dennis and Betsy, Ron and Gloria, and Johnny Rocket and Georgianna for making our summer at Red Rock a great one! Our third visit to this fantastic location was the best yet. We particularly enjoyed all the good folks, both guests and camp workers, and made some great new friends. The nightly coyote vocals and dark night sky that made the viewing of the several meteor showers a special event were just part of what makes Red Rock so enjoyable. We will see all of you again! Beautiful and relaxing. I'm impressed with the drive throughs of the staff and thier constant maintenance. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. I met Newt and Reggie, the "local" celebs and were impressed with their helpfulness and information. We are here for the sixth year. We started with a 2 week visit 6 years ago and it has grown to 2 months each year for the last 3 years. I love to fish and this is the center of the Fly Fishing in this area. We are 30 minutes from Henry's Fork of the Snake, 30 minutes from the Madison in Montana and depending on traffic 45 minutes from Firehole or the Gibbon inside Yellowstone or the Gallatin or Taylors Fork just north of West Yellowstone. There is also great dinning at many local resorts. 2 Theaters (live) to attend and of course visits to Yellowstone Park and Grand Teton Park.

We've been coming here for 4 years now. We love it for many reasons. It's quiet (5 miles from the highway.) it's near so much beauty (Yellowstone, Red Rock Lakes Wildlife Refuge , Snake River and Mesa Falls, Gallatin River valley, etc.) We can let our dog Reggie run loose outside the Park. He loves it here. We go on long walks in the forest, photograph the wildflowers in the Spring, walk down to the beautiful lake, etc. It's our summer home. And it's a nice place to meet good people.
